Homemade Flat Breads

METHOD

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast and salt.

  2. Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and add the water and oil.

  3. Mix together until it forms a dough.

  4. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and silky.

  5. Split into balls (however many flatbreads you want to make)

  6. Roll them out.

  7. Add to a hot non stick pan and cook until nice and light brown.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250g strong white bread flour

  • 250g plain white flour

  • 5g powdered dried yeast

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 325ml warm water

  • About 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 handful coarse flour for dusting


TIPS

Can also be used to make pizza, just pop the rolled out dough into the oven to make sure the middle is cooked then take out, put your toppings on and place back in the oven at 180 until cooked.
